Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026
This policy explains how The Connect uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage). Under EU/UK ePrivacy rules we place non-essential cookies only after you consent; you can accept all or choose essentials only in our consent banner, and change your choice anytime via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
Strictly necessary (always on): authentication, session integrity, security, and load balancing. These are required to run the platform and cannot be switched off. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in providing a secure service; under ePrivacy they are exempt from consent.
Preference cookies (consent): remember choices such as your light/dark theme. If you choose essentials only, we keep these to a minimum.
Analytics cookies (consent): aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement to understand and improve platform performance. Set only with your consent, and never used to build advertising profiles.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or "share" cookie data for behavioural advertising.
Managing cookies: besides our banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing where applicable. Consent is stored for up to 12 months, after which we ask again.
